What is the meaning of the "Waterproof Level IPX 4" for the A4050 motorbike GPS?
Protected against splashing water and water sprayed from all angles at 10 liters/min at a pressure of 80-100kN/m2 for 5 min.

Can I connect the Bluetooth Headset of the A4050 motorbike GPS to my handphone? How?
Yes. Switch on the Bluetooth Headset, then use your Handphone's Bluetooth function to search the Bluetooth Headset,key in the pincode "0000" to connect them.

Can I connect the Bluetooth Headset of the A4050 motorbike GPS to the GPS and my Handphone at the same time?
No, you can't. The Bluetooth Headset can only be connected to one device at a time.

What do I use to charge the Bluetooth Headset of the A4050 motorbike GPS?
The Bluetooth Headset and the GPS use the same charger.

How much does the A4050 motorbike GPS installation fee cost?
It depends, normally the installation fee is around $99.

For around 6 hours.

What is the analog stick on A4050 motorbike GPS used for?
Move the stick left and right to zoom in and zoom out, while moving it up and down will adjust the volume. Pressing it down will access the main manu.

What are the side lights of A4050 motorbike GPS used for?
The 'Blue' lights turns on on the side where you are supposed to do a left or right turn. 'Purple' indicates you do a U turn. While 'red' indicates you enter or exit a highway.

What does the USB port of V4150 GPS do?
Currently, it is only used for chargring the battery.

Who is your map provider?
Global map provider Teleatlas.

What surfaces can the suction stand suck on?
Only on the windscreen.

What are features of your map?
Teleatlas is a leading global map provider. Teleatlas's map is verified and accurate to within 1m. Their data is collected by their moblie vans around the country.

How is the installation done?
The installation is very easy- simply mount it on the windscreen with the suction cup stand.

Where can I mount the set?
On the windscreen where it will not obstruct your view of the roads.

How accurate is the map?
Accurate to within 1m

Where and how can I update the map?
You can bring your TIBO down to our office for an update.

Are there any charges on updating of the map?
There will be no charges for the 1st year.

How often should I update my map?
The ideal period of time would be every 6 months.

Does the system work in the basement carparks and underground tunnels?
No. The GPS antenna needs to be facing the sky for it to recieve the signals.

How do I download music and movies into the set?
You can input the music and movie into the SD memory card. Insert the memory card into TIBO then press the reset button to start.

Why does the system sometimes reacts very slowly or takes a very long time computing?
It may be due to the installation of the UV-cool in your car that is affecting the speed. Alternatively, you can bring the set down to our office to identify the problem.

Why is the TiBO still on after the LCD screen is switched it off? (x371 model)
The correct way to switch it off is by pressing POWER button.

Where was the set and the map made in?
The sets are produced in Korea. Map is licensed by a global map provider, TeleAtlas.

What is GPS? What's the difference between GPS and GPRS?
GPS represents Global Positioning System. We do not need to pay for GPS service. GPRS needs to send and recieve data and its a totally different concept where you have to pay for the service.

Are there any monthly subscription for the GPS service?
No, the GPS service is free of charge.

How does the GPS work?
Global Positioning System satellites transmit signals to the TiBO on the ground. GPS receivers passively receive satellite signals. They do not transmit. Using these signals, TiBO can then locate itself.

How accurate is the GPS?
5 meters +\-

Can I view DVD or VCD from TIBO?
Unfortunately not. It is because TIBO does not support any external video input.

What can I do to prolong the battery life?
Battery can be charged via the cigarette lighter point.

What should I do when the GPS signals are weak and the system lags?
One option is to restart TIBO. Alternatively, you can buy a GPS antenna to boost signal reception.

How long does it take for TIBO to receive GPS signals whenever I switch it on?
It depends on whether is it a cold start, warm start, or a hot start. Cold start will take 5 mins. Warm start will take less than 1 mins. Hot start will take only 1 second.

Does it have Bluetooth function?
Yes. For A1550i, V4150 and A4050 models.

Can the set be left in the car for whole day under the hot sun?
Yes, TIBO would be able to withstand the heat. However, it is advisable to remove the set after use.

Does TIBO included the map of foreign countries other than Singapore & Malaysia?
No.

What should I key in TIBO if I were to go to Malaysia; e.g. Genting?
Firstly,you should know which state you are going to,key in State: "Pahang", followed by "Jalan Genting Highland". Lastly, click on "On Map" to view.

How often is the map updated? (only Singapore and Malaysia)
The map is updated at least twice a year. Feel free to call up the office for updating enquires.

What should I do when TIBO hangs?
Try restarting it. If the problem continues to occur, please bring it down to the service center.

Does TIBO provide traffic information?
Traffic monintoring will be available soon.

Do you have TIBO in Chinese language?
Yes.

Can TIBO search by using postal codes?

How is it different from PDA ?
We have T.T.S (Text To Speech) system whereas a PDA Digital map operates similiar to a street directory.

Can I upgrade the storage size of the SD card?
Yes, you can upgrade the SD storage space by copying all the system files from the TIBO SD card.

TIBO comes in how many different models?
Currently we have 3 different models. 2 models for usage in cars and 1 model for use on motorbikes.

Is TIBO approved by the LTA?
Yes. The TeleAtlas map and device is approved.

What are the differences between the 2 car models?
The difference is purely cosmetic.

Is TIBO able to play music or movies?
Yes, it can play music (.mp3 format) and movies in (.avi format with xvid codec).

Is TIBO recognised locally?
Yes.

What is the size of TIBO's memory card?
It comes with a 1GB SD Card.

Can I update the map from the website?
No. You need to come down to our office for an update.

Is TIBO portable?
Yes. It has an internal battery.

We currently accept cards from UOB, DBS and OCBC.

Can TIBO still work after I remove the memory card?
No, the system navigation files are saved within the memory.

Can TIBO support bigger memory?
Yes, you may use SD card with bigger memory.

Would I be able to zoom in and out in order to get a better look on the map?
Yes, of course.

Where is the Volume Control on Tibo for the car models?
The volume control button is located on the right side of the set.

Would I be able to connect TIBO to any VCD player to watch my movies?
No. You would not be able to.

Would TIBO sound system be able to connect to any sound system hi-fi set?
Yes, you just need a FM transimtter.

How long can the battery last?
About 2 hours for the A1550i model, 4 hours for the V4150 model and 6 hours for the A4050 model.


What should I do when TIBO does not receive the signals?
Try restarting the set. Alternatively, you are advised to purchase a GPS antenna extension or bring the set down to identify the problem.

How will I know if TIBO received the GPS signals?
When signals are received, you will notice the green bar on the bottom left side of the screen.

What is the difference between navigation and simulation?
Navigation is real time running that works together with GPS signals while simulation does not depend on signals and plainly shows the direction from a simulated road plan.

Can I use an AC adapter to charge the battery?
Yes, please ensure the AC adaptor is compatible with the battery.(12V/1000mA)

Why do the battery only work for 20 minutes?
The battery is loosing its retention power. We advice you to replace it.

Why can't I turn on the set?
Try waiting a while before restarting the TIBO. If the problem continues to occur, please bring it down to the service center.

Why is the battery not charging?
Battery might be spoilt and needs to be changed.

Why are the GPS signals taking a long time to receive?
Try pressing the reset button. Alternatively, you are advised to purchase a GPS antenna extension.

Why am I unable to connect TIBO to the detected Bluetooth devices?
Try switching off and on your Bluetooth devices and reestablish the connection again.
Remark: Some Bluetooth devices do not recognise our TiBO.
What type of GPS chipset is TIBO equipped with?
TIBO is equipped with the latest SiRFstar III Chipset. GPS receivers based on this chipset have routinely performed better than receivers based on other chipsets.
